Alpha-[3-[1,3,3,3-tetramethyl-1-(trimethylsilyloxy)disiloxanyl]propyl-omega-hydroxypolyoxyethylene] (CAS 67674-67-3) is a special amphiphilic organosilicon compound with siloxane and polyoxyethylene segments. It is a colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid, and its molecular weight varies from 222.51 to 324.64 g/mol with the polyoxyethylene chain length.

Carbinol-terminated polydimethylsiloxane is an efficient wetting agent. As a silicone glycol surfactant, it greatly reduces water surface tension even at a low concentration of about 0.1%. It optimizes particle size distribution and enables uniform coating of active ingredients and film-forming materials, mainly applied in spray formulations.
