Product Description of Trisodium Phosphate CAS#7601-54-9

Trisodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate is white to colorless hexagonal crystals with a density of about 1.62 g/cm³. It melts near 75 °C on rapid heating and partially loses crystal water at 100 °C, retaining the last water molecule even at higher ignition temperatures. Freely soluble in water with solubility of around 28 g/100 mL at 20 °C, forming a strongly alkaline solution; 0.1 M aqueous solution pH approx 11.5. Insoluble in alcohol, widely applied where strong alkalinity and good water solubility are required.

Trisodium Phosphate is an inorganic salt, widely used as high-efficiency industrial detergent, metal surface treatment agent and floor cleaner, featuring strong cleaning and degreasing performance. It also serves as a water softener and boiler water treatment chemical, and acts as a paint remover for surface preparation. Besides, it is applied in photographic developers, leather tanning, papermaking and sugar clarification, with versatile uses across various industrial processes.
