Product Description of Paclitaxel CAS#33069-62-4
Paclitaxel is a diterpene extracted from yew bark. It uniquely promotes and stabilizes microtubule polymerization, binding only to formed microtubules. It disrupts cell division and arrests mitosis. Clinically, it is mainly used for ovarian and breast cancers, and also effective against lung, colorectal, melanoma, lymphoma and other malignancies.

Paclitaxel is a natural broad-spectrum anticancer drug mainly for metastatic breast and ovarian cancers. It binds β-tubulin to stabilize microtubules, block depolymerization and arrest cell cycle at G2/M phase to suppress mitosis. It also acts effectively on human endothelial cells with low IC50 value.
