Tussilagone, one of the primary active constituents of Tussilago farfara, exhibits notable anti-inflammatory activity. Research has shown that tussilagone can alleviate inflammatory responses in dextran sulfate sodium-induced murine colitis models. In addition, it has been reported to suppress inflammatory reactions and improve survival rates in cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)-induced septic mouse models.
